Established in 2002 in San Jose, California, Discrepancy Clothing was the brainchild of San Jose native Josh Denney. Josh, bored with the lull of every-day life, was in search of something more exciting and embraced the challenge of bringing a new clothing line to the public. The company started as any small company starts—amongst friends and by word of mouth—and grew from there.
In the thick of the 2009 economic downturn, Christian Aufdermauer joined Josh in pushing Discrepancy to another level. The duo told the recession to shove it and hit the ground running, launching new shirt designs, sweatshirts, and hats.
At Discrepancy, we believe in creating original shirt designs, using sweatshop-free manufacturing, and supporting local businesses.
